About the author

I’m Annie — an interior designer by trade, a writer by conviction, and a lifelong student of truth.

I was born and raised in Southern California to a landscaper and a teacher who taught me to love God, think for myself, and never be afraid to ask questions. I grew up in a home grounded in faith, with parents who believed in prayer, hard work, and staying curious. That foundation shaped everything — from how I approached school to how I see the world today.

After earning degrees in Interior Design and Interior Architecture, I built a design business focused on creating spaces that bring order and peace out of chaos. But over the years, I began to see a deeper kind of disorder — not in homes, but in hearts and minds. The confusion in our culture runs deep, and many people feel lost trying to make sense of it all.

That’s why I started It’s Not Complicated — a place to slow down, think clearly, and rediscover what’s true.

Because I believe that while the world can feel chaotic, truth is clear, and your purpose is simple.

Here, I share thoughts on culture, faith, and the everyday courage it takes to live with conviction. I’m not an expert on everything — just someone who’s determined to seek clarity in a confused world.
